Exhibitions “We want peace”

On the 7th, 9th and 10th of December 2015 Sustainability for progressive and open communication (SPOC, spoc-s.com) in partnership with the Ministry of work and social policy and State agency for children protection, Ministry of intern affairs and Ministry of foreign affairs, organized a series of exhibitions entitled Message for peace. The first exhibition was opened on the 7th of December at 6 p.m. in gallery “The Mission”, the second-on the 9th of December at 13:30h in the conference room at the Ministry of work and social policy, the third – on the 10th of December at 11:00h in the Museum of the Ministry of foreign affairs.

The events were opened by public figures such as prof. V. Chukov (security expert), dr. Yuri Katzarov (psychologist), dr. Vyara Gancheva (sociologist), Krasimir Dimitrov (security expert), Sibel Mustafa (arabist) and others. On the event attended ministers, deputy ministers, Mps and other importants guests.
The exhibitions had the aim to send the children’s message for peace, tolerance and understanding between different cultures. The paintings in the three exhibitions were made by children – representatives from different ethnos, united by the common idea to send the world their message for peace.

Further information about the exhibitions

Seventy children’s painting were shown of the exhibitions – from the child’s dreams for travel, games with friends, to ideas about the Earth. The paintings present the children’ s vision about the peaceful world. United in colors, the little artists from different cultures and nationalities have attached to their creations a little written message. A meeting, games or just a portrait are only one part of the subjects, that have had influence the children’ s imagination. Not rarely animals, the Sun and the house are presented in their works.

The plans for the developing of the exhibition are to turn it into traveling exhibitions and in 2016 to be set in different public places and smaller municipalities.

The paintings of the children are thematically arranged in galleries, so guests have the opportunity to be photographed with their favorite pictures and share their messages of peace!
