Research of employment methods for people with mental illnesses
Research, transfer and adaptation of new for SPOC and Bulgaria methods for inclusion of people with mental illnesses in working environment and providing a complex of measures and techniques for increasing employment capability. The activity will be implemented in collaboration with “JOB Szemelyzeti Tanacsado Kft”.
”JOB Szemelyzeti Tanacsado Kft” has a high activity in Hungary with a developed and working model for providing help and referring to employment for people with reduced working ability or mental illnesses. Access of information provided and work with people and their families help people with illness integrate in the working environment, inform and train employers for meaning of social responsibility.
The activity includes organizing of a field study and an exchange and analysis of system methods used from “JOB Szemelyzeti Tanacsado Kft”.
Summary of the components for transfer:
– Presentation of continuous and actual information about existing workplaces for people with mental illnesses;
– Realization of consultations and personal support for coping with the mental illness at the workplace;
– Mediation with employers about acceptable changes and processes in the field of human resources;
– Targeting people with disabilities to support services;
– Training family and relatives in supporting the mentally ill .
The final product of the activity will be made on the basis of research and observation and the information provided will be used for writing a report and analysis of the activity. This will be the basis of transferring the social innovation called “An employment model for people with mental illnesses”.
The activity involves summary of the best European policies for working opportunities for people with mental illnesses: tracking the process of informing people with mental illnesses about existing workplaces, work with their families, training for their employers, motivating them for employing vulnerable groups of people, adaptation of workplaces, maintenance of an information portal about workplaces and support for mentally ill people in their working process.
